At the donation ceremony held on June 30,  Xie Lijuan, a 76-year-old entrepreneur, also a member of the Zhejiang Committee of China Democratic League decided to donate 200,000 yuan to the construction of a local primary school called Simin Primary School in Zhuji, Shaoxing City, Zhejiang. 

Xie has been devoted to remolding juvenile delinquents within the province for over 10 years. During the past years, she had spent a total of more than 10 million yuan to her philanthropic work.

Xie said that her decision of donation was inspired by her close friend Chai Xiangqun, a member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Shaoxing Municipal Committee as well as a famous poet. 

During his tenure, Chai collected a number of poems he wrote and released them in a book called "Jishan Grass". 

It was during the editing process when he came up with the idea that he wanted to divide the remuneration into two parts, one for members of the Shaoxing Photography Workshop that have made a huge contribution to his publication, and the rest for beneficence work.

Simin Primary School was located in Dongbaihu Town, Zhuji. It was the earliest new school in Zhuji. In 1905, the school was officially renamed as Simin Primary School.  The school also accepts students from native villages and nearby villages, which plays an important role in improving the local people's literacy level, and has cultivated a number of famous talents, such as Si Xingjian, Si Xia, Jiang Dingwen and so on.
