Get ready to savor the flavor of Asian food at Asian Cuisine Festival!
From May 15 to 22, the historical city of Hangzhou is to invite global friends to enjoy a cultural feast. As a supporting event for the Conference on Dialogue of Asian Civilizations to be held in Beijing on May 15, Hangzhou will hold an Asian Cuisine Festival themed "Taste Hangzhou" in sync with Beijing, Guangzhou and Chengdu.
The "Taste Hangzhou" Asian Cuisine Festival will launch a series of food culture exchange event including a grand opening ceremony, forums, the gourmet culture park (exhibition), "A Date with Asian Games" exhibition, etc.
The food culture park is the principal part of the gourmet festival, which will be staged at the Wave Cultural Park of the Civic Center of Qianjiang New Town. It has attracted exhibitors from 56 countries and regions to exhibit and sell snacks, foods and drinks of international flavors. The unique flavors from countries like Japan and Vietnam will satisfy the taste buds of tourists. Meanwhile, it has also attracted regional institutions such as several Chinese cities and local time-honored brands of Hangzhou.
Digitization is another conspicuous feature of the festival.
During the festival, "new concepts" of catering industry will be diplayed such as the new catering service, new retail technology, self-service restaurant and food delivery robot. In addition, with the 5G tech, Hangzhou citizens can watch the high-definition live streaming of Asian Cuisine Culture Park and thematic light shows on ultra high-definition videos.
It is worth mentioning that as the host of the 19th Asian Games 2022, Hangzhou will actively blend the elements of Asian Games into the festival. The theme exhibition of “A Date with Asian Games” will be held at the Grand Theater of Hangzhou from May 15 to 22, which will demonstrate the foods with the elements of Olympic Games and Asian Games and innovative food designs for Asian Games, attracting more folks to support Asian Games.
