On the morning of Nov 29, the 2022 Hehe Culture Global Forum, co-sponsored by China International Communications Group, Chinese Culture Institute, Chinese People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries, Information Office of Zhejiang Provincial People’s Government, and Taizhou Municipal People's Government, opened in Tiantai County, Taizhou. With the theme of “Hehe Culture and Promoting Common Development”, the forum set up sub-sessions in Spain and Japan to connect with the main venue in China. The importance of the Hehe culture was discussed from three perspectives: “the idea of ‘harmony in diversity’ and cultural exchange and mutual learning”, “the concept of ‘mutual benefit and win-win result’ and promoting opening up and cooperation”, and “the wisdom of ‘harmony between nature and man’ and promoting green development”.

This is not only a cross-cultural exchange but also a powerful practice of the Chinese civilization reaching out to the world.

In New Words of Zhijiang, a collection of columns written by Xi Jinping for Zhejiang Daily while he was serving as the Party chief of the eastern province, Xi proposed that our ancestors created an unparalleled culture, and the Hehe culture is one of its essences. “He”（和）refers to harmony, peace and neutrality, while “he”（合）refers to convergence, integration and union, both of which are the cultural concept pursued by our nation.

In recent years, as the landmark, practice place, and dissemination base of the Hehe culture, Taizhou actively advocates the Hehe culture and is constantly committed to promoting the Hehe culture to the larger world.

In the past several years, the three-year action plan for the construction of “International Communication Center of Hehe Culture” in Taizhou was issued; the new practice of municipal civilization of “Hehe Taizhou · Polite City” was carried out; “2021 Hehe Culture Global Forum” was held; the “Global Hehe Culture International Communication Center” was established......

With these efforts, Hehe culture is going to the world from Taizhou, China.
