On the afternoon of June 8, Ningbo Zhongji Tianshi Supply Chain Co., Ltd. signed a contract with Latvian E-Commerce Harbor Company. In the future, with the cross-border e-commerce platform of Zhongji, the featured products from Latvia and other Central and Eastern European countries will be more convenient to enter the Chinese market. It is the first joint project under the framework of China (Ningbo)-Latvia cross-border e-commerce harbor construction.

At the 9th China-CEEC Economic and Trade Forum held in Dubrovnik in April 2019, Ningbo and the Latvian Investment Development Agency signed The Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation and Support for the Construction of China (Ningbo)-Latvia Cross-border E-Commerce Harbor. The two sides provide one-stop services such as logistics warehousing, promotion, and publicity, port customs clearance, and finance for enterprises based on peer-to-peer cooperation of Ningbo-Riga.

Ningbo Foreign Trade Champion - Zhongji Ningbo Group - became the "leading runner" under the cooperation framework. The relevant person in charge of Ningbo Zhongji Tianshi Supply Chain Co., Ltd. said that Latvia could open a store in Ningbo Zhongji B2B Mall and purchase Chinese products online, making trade between the two parties more convenient.

In 2018, Ningbo’s trade volume with Latvia was US$13.503 million, a year-on-year increase of 9.2%. Since 2016, the import volume has maintained a growth rate of more than 30% for three consecutive years. Today, Ningbo provides the preferred shortcut for Central and Eastern European specialty goods to enter China. The 1425 barrel Latvian Rick paint, which was underwritten by Zhongji, was shipped from Riga to China in May and became the first order for cooperation between Zhongji and Latvia.
