On June 8, Zhejiang Provincial Promotion Conference on Belt and Road Construction was held in Ningbo, attended by the representatives of foreign guests who were participating in the First China-Central and Eastern European Countries Expo and International Consumer Goods Fair, and Zhejiang Investment & Trade Symposium. 

Che Jun, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, attended the conference and delivered a speech. He stressed that Zhejiang would implement the spirit proposed by President Xi Jinping at the Second Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation, and the achievements during the forum, share new opportunities for high-level cooperation with counties along the BRI, thus making joint efforts to create a new chapter of high quality and mutual benefit and contribute to Belt and Road blueprint.

Mr. Stoncaitis, Secretary-General of the Government of the Republic of Lithuania, Mr. Redwin, Deputy Minister of Coordinating Ministry for Maritime Affairs of Indonesia, and Mr. Durdyev, Ambassador of Turkmenistan to China, also gave a speech.

Che Jun pointed out that The Belt and Road serves as a broad stage to promote China's opening up to the world and a great opportunity for common prosperity. Zhejiang will deepen exchanges and cooperation with countries and regions on the route, and strive to promote all-round interconnection.

Zhejiang has been enhancing all-round and multi-field cooperation by speeding up the building of more advanced open platforms, Zhejiang free-trade pilot zone, overseas economic and trade cooperation zones, etc. The province will expand the import from countries and regions along the Belt and Road by strengthening the opening up of service industries, manufacturing industries and agriculture, and providing more channels for importing. 

Zhejiang will cement cooperation and exchanges on science, technology, education, health care, environmental protection, cultural tourism, etc. to establish amity and friendship between the people. To bring trade facilitation to a globally advanced level as soon as possible, Zhejiang will endeavor to create a more convenient and efficient business environment, deepen the reform of One-stop Service, and strengthen the construction of a government ruled by law and good faith.

At the conference, 20 cooperation projects with a total investment of 14.3 billion US dollars were signed by the enterprises and government institutions of Zhejiang Province with enterprises in 12 countries and regions along The Belt and Road, covering such fields as automobile production, intelligent manufacturing, energy development and park construction.
