China-CEEC Investment and Trade Expo has been hosted in Ningbo for four years, and “A Taste of CEEC” has been held twice at the Old Bund of Ningbo, where various delicacies from the CEECs were prepared for visitors.
As the only culture exchange program of the first China-CEEC Expo & International Consumer Goods Fair, A Taste of CEEC was upgraded into A Taste of Zhejiang and CEEC-Culinary Culture Exchange that will be held at the Old Bund from June 9 to 11.
During these three days, the characteristic delicacies from eleven cities of Zhejiang Province will be introduced in the Old Bund, together with treats and commodities from the CEECs to arrange a sweet date between Chinese and Western cuisines.
The Old Bund program consists of three parts: the opening ceremony, the exhibition of Zhejiang and CEEC cuisines, and the performances and interactions at the site. The arrangement of activities is as follows.
The opening ceremony is at 3:30-5:00 pm on June 9. There will be Wu opera performance by Jinhua City and a symphony performance by Ningbo. From 4:30 to 5:00 pm, a long-table banquet for a hundred persons will be set at the Old Bund.
Eleven cities of Zhejiang will prepare dozens of unique dishes respectively. There will be more than 100 dishes without repetition. From 3:00 to 9:00 pm during June 9 to 11, senior chefs from eleven Asian and European countries will cook their special foods on the spot in twenty-two booths.
At the exhibition area, special snacks of Zhejiang will be made and sold, such as Jinyun pancake, Jiaxing zongzi, Jintang sesame cake, etc.
Several sites will be set for the visitors to take photos. At the Leisure Area, the visitors can see a themed film while enjoying the foods.
Every evening during the program, a 45-minute interactive performance will be staged at the interaction area from 7:30 to 8:15 pm. Eleven cities of Zhejiang will give their performances, and Chinese and Western delicacies will be recommended.
