The Hidden World behind the Door, a part in a series of exhibitions presented by Hangzhou Arts and Crafts Museum, started on April 25 and will run through July 26. The venue is the second-floor hall at China Fan Museum in Hangzhou. Altogether there are 119 exhibits on display, including seventy-six Wanxiu pieces (decorative silk embroideries for sleeves), nineteen dresses and twelve artworks of painting and calligraphy. Among the exhibits are two class-one national treasures. One is a painting by Yun Bing, a woman artist of the Qing Dynasty (1644-1911). The other is an ink-stone once used by Liu Rushi, a woman poet and artist whose life spanned the last years of the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644) and the early years of the Qing. The two exhibits are loaned from Zhejiang Museum.
