北京时间2019年7月6日，阿塞拜疆，第43届世界遗产大会审议表决，“良渚古城遗址”入选《世界遗产名录》。

　　五千年前，这片土地就是文明高地，良渚古城所展现的向心式三重结构的城市形态，在中国城市建设史上具有重要的开创意义；良渚先民在湿地环境中创造的“水城”的规划格局与营造技术，特别是城市的大型水资源管理工程，在东亚地区乃至人类文明史上都堪称早期城市文明的杰出范例。

　　高大的宫殿台基、雄伟的城墙、古老而庞大的水利工程，以及数以千计象征权力与信仰的精美玉器，就足以为中华五千年文明留下掷地有声的实证。

北纬30°，这是一个神奇的地带。

　　我们熟悉的世界古老文明——古埃及文明、苏美尔文明、哈拉帕文明所处的尼罗河流域、两河流域及印度河流域都诞生于这个地带，距今5000年。

　　良渚文明正与这些古老文明同处一个纬度，距今5300年到4300年。良渚王国的社会发展程度，可与其他世界古老文明比肩。

　　自1936年施昕更先生首先发掘良渚遗址以来，这处陈列在广阔大地上的遗产被渐渐拂去沉睡千年的浮尘；83年的不断考古发现，让昔日辉煌文明的曙光一点点照进现代。

　　良渚古城遗址属于中国，也属于世界。

　　把世界遗产保护放在人类命运共同体的坐标上，不断提高文化遗产保护水平，才能更好发挥文化遗产在见证和提升人类文明中的积极作用。

　　申遗成功后，保护良渚遗址、延续历史文脉，向世人展示全面真实的古代中国和现代中国，将是我们义不容辞的责任和担当。

　　2017年9月1日，在中国上千万初中学生拿到的新版《中国历史》教科书里，良渚文化的介绍已占据了满满一页。或许，我们可以期待更多年轻人能在良渚的土地上感受中华文化起源地的魅力，从那散发着文化黎明曙光的器物里，读懂良渚，传承华夏文明。

　　我们相信，在未来，五千年的良渚文明，将通过自身负载的精彩文化传奇继续娓娓道来，在新时代焕发出更加动人的魅力。

　Regional Early State in Zhejiang, Liangzhu is a sacred place that materially evidences the five millennia of Chinese Civilization, now inscribed on World Heritage List

On July 2019, Archaeological Ruins of Liangzhu City was voted unanimously onto the UNESCO’s World Heritage List at Baku, Azerbaijan at the 43rd session of World Heritage Committee.

Five thousand years ago, the land in Zhejiang was home to an early civilization. The centripetal triple city structure of the Liangzhu City became a prototype of urban planning and engineering by most imperial capitals in subsequent Chinese dynasties. The structure is a milestone in the history of urbanism of China. The urban planning, scale and construction technologies, as embodied in the city surrounded by a network of rivers, add up to be an exemplary early urban civilization in both East Asia and the rest of the world.

The grand palace terraces, the magnificent city walls, the mega water conservancy system, the thousands of fine jade artifacts that ritualize power and faith, constitute a convincing testimony to the five thousand years of the Chinese civilization. The Liangzhu Civilization stands splendidly side by side with its contemporary Egypt Civilization, Sumerian Civilization and Harappan Civilization. Archaeological Ruins of Liangzhu City belongs not only to China but also to the World.

The discovery of Liangzhu City started 83 years ago in 1936. The discovery was made by Shi Xingeng, then 25, a young archaeologist whose hometown was Liangzhu. Subsequent discovers in 83 years established a regional early state civilization with Liangzhu City as its center of power and faith.

With the successful inscription, we consider it our duty to do a better job in safeguarding the archaeological ruins of Liangzhu, carry on our culture and history, and promote ancient and modern China to the world.

On September 1, 2017, 14 million junior middle school students in China received a new Chinese History textbook. One page of the textbook is exclusively dedicated to the Liangzhu Culture. It is expected that, by studying Liangzhu in depth and looking at the objects unearthed in Liangzhu, more and more people will better appreciate the charm and glory of Chinese culture. The Liangzhu Civilization of five thousand years will shine into the future.

It is our pleasure to learn that Archaeological Ruins of Liangzhu City has been voted unanimously today onto the UNESCO’s World Heritage List at the 43rd session of World Heritage Committee. We would like to avail ourselves on this occasion to express our regards to all experts, scholars and others who have contributed to the successful inscription. We would also like to express our heart-felt gratitude on this occasion to people at home and abroad who have supported our efforts to get Archaeological Ruins of Liangzhu City inscribed onto the said list.

Archaeological Ruins of Liangzhu City is an exemplary prototype of mankind’s early state civilization. Liangzhu is a sacred region that gives material testimony to the five millennia of the Chinese civilization. The successful inclusion onto the World Heritage List marks the unanimous recognition by the international community of the 5,000-year history of the Chinese Civilization. The inscription marks a new great accomplishment scored by Chinese people in further upholding our cultural confidence and exploring the genesis of the Chinese civilization. The inscription is of great significance to promote Archaeological Ruins of Liangzhu City to the world, display the Chinese civilization, and enhance Chinese culture’s influence in the world. The inscription will definitely further promote the visibility and credibility and influence of Zhejiang and Hangzhou, boost the province’s cultural development, promote the building of a moderately prosperous society on the all-round way and at a high level, and help accomplish the socialist modernization at a high level.

Archaeological Ruins of Liangzhu City owes its successful inscription to the leadership and guardianship of the Central Committee of CPC with Xi Jinping as the core, to the guidance and support of the central government, to the hard work of people and the government at provincial, municipal and district level, to the archaeological excavation and study of scholars and experts. We hope that the inscription will be a new departure point for cultural heritage authorities at Hangzhou and Zhejiang to continue to keep in mind Xi Jinping’s instruction on the preservation and research of the Liangzhu Archaeological Site. We hope you will continue to abide by the World Heritage Convention, continue to safeguard the Liangzhu Archaeological Site at high level and in an all-round way. We hope that further archaeological projects and studies will shed new light on the unique value of Liangzhu Civilization, turn Liangzhu Site into a world cultural landmark, and make new and greater contribution to the safeguarding and utilizing of mankind’s cultural heritage, and to the promoting and carrying on of the Chinese Civilization.
