On the afternoon of April 27, the outcome list of the second Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation (BRF) was released. The achievements of Zhejiang on the list include “16+1 Trade Index”, “Ningbo Port Index” and BRI Dubai Station Construction Project.

Ningbo Zhoushan Port has been actively involved in the construction of global shipping connectivity network to enhance its industry influence. The Ningbo port index is a digital product provided by the Ningbo Zhoushan Port, which is co-developed by Ningbo Port and Navigation Administration and Ningbo Shipping Exchange.

The 16+1 trade index mainly measures the trade development level between China and 16 countries of Central and Eastern Europe and reflects the trend of bilateral trade changes and development. Since the Belt and Road Initiative was proposed, the number of bilateral trades between China and Central and Eastern Europe has seen a continuous increase. Ningbo is also the first demonstrative zone of the "16+1" cooperation in China. The index came into being under this context.

The list also included the Ningbo Initiative for Cooperation of Ports along the Silk Road, co-launched by more than 30 important port enterprises at home and abroad, port administrations, port operator representatives, transport and custom institutions of Chinese and foreign governments. According to the Initiative, every concerned party will communicate and cooperate deeply in such areas as shipping policies, planning, construction and operation to enhance the service capacity and quality of ports, achieve a seamless connection of logistics and information between ports and promote the inter-connectivity of maritime supply chains.

The BRI Dubai Station Construction Project is an open complex integrating service functions such as logistics, commercial trade, exhibition and sales and light processing, which will build a center of distribution of global sales for products “Made in China”, establish a main gateway for Chinese products to be exhibited to the world and stimulate the bilateral trade and investment growth between China and surrounding countries in the Middle East, the Eastern Africa, and the Central Asia regions.

Reportedly, Zhejiang Seaport Group and Ningbo Zhoushan Port Group have reached an intention of cooperation on the development of Kuala Tanjung International Hub Port and Industrial Park with PT Pelabuhan Indonesia I and established a long-term sisterhood port relationship with PT Pelabuhan Indonesia II.
