The “16+1” mechanism, a platform created in 2012 by China and 16 Central and Eastern European (CEE) countries, has injected fresh impetus to the economic and trade cooperation between Zhejiang Province and the Czech Republic. Over the years, both sides have seen positive results in bilateral relations through frequent high-level visits and diverse economic and trade working mechanisms, which have led to a bunch of key projects signed.
Six cooperation agreements involving inter-governmental mechanism building, technology, media, and e-commerce cooperation were signed during the Zhejiang-Czech Economic and Trade Symposium on June 19, 2016 in Hangzhou. Li Qiang, then Governor and Sobotka, Prime Minister of the Czech Republic delivered speeches.

Sino-CEE Fund inked an agreement with Zhejiang’s Chint Group at the 2017 China Investment Forum in the Czech Republic on July 18, 2017.
