An in-depth interview with Hu Bin, a home-sharing business entrepreneur in Yu Village

Hu Bin is a home-sharing house operator based in Yu Village, Anji County in Huzhou City. Before Yu Village, he was a designer living in Xi'an, Shaanxi Province. 

The reason why he decided to return back to his hometown - Yu Village, is because that he was surprised to find out that his hometown has already well-known even outside of Anji County and widely recognized by the local people in Shaanxi Province. In the meantime, during the preparation of his Airbnb-style homestay house in Yu Village, the local government and fellows gave him a hand in everything he needed for the success of his business, from ad hoc pieces of training, networking opportunities with experts of tourism to funding opportunities, etc. He said that the current life is just what he is longing for for years. 

Hu's success is a kind of the epitome of the local environmental transition of Yu Village. A few years ago, the village was dedicated to an inconsistent model of the pursuit of economic growth from mining. However, the natural environment had to pay off. Then the village's leadership team had a vision of turning the quarry into a landmark, appealing to tourists as an unusual landscape with an interesting history.

Nowadays, "lucid waters and lush mountains are invaluable assets" is perhaps the most famous quote that can be used to refer to Yu Village, Anji County. The well-preserved natural environment and ecological system have been improved. People could be able to get prosperity from green agritainment business and other tourism business.
