On November 3, 2021, the International Symposium of Resilient City & The 21st Annual General Meeting of UK-CARE was held in Wenzhou geological building. Wang Meng, Executive Secretary-General of the World Young Scientist Summit, said in an interview with the global network that the two points were the future construction direction and basic elements of a resilient city.
Wang Meng explained that the theme of this meeting was "Suit one's measures to local conditions - green, residential and digital resilient city". "Suit one's measures to local conditions" includes two meanings, that is, the geographical environment and geological conditions of the city. The construction of a resilient city needs to consider the actual situation of the two points.
Wang Meng pointed out that building a resilient city is a measure for people to face climate change, including a series of measures such as using green energy and green buildings, building a better sponge city, and building a more stable underground space. Therefore, in the process of building a resilient City, "Suit one's measures to local conditions" should fully consider the ecological diversity.
