Equestrian is the only sport in Asian Games that takes combined efforts of men and animals, and the underlying aristocracy and chivalry in it fascinates people. Tonglu Equestrian Centre, which is located in Yaolin (a town in Tonglu county, Hangzhou) is about to be completed. It will be the venue for equestrian in Hangzhou Asian Games, making this sport within reach for us. 

Tonglu Equestrian Centre has an overall floorage of 54,000 square meters，scientifically sectioned into various functional areas. The form of the centre is inspired by the Chinese character “马” (meaning horse), and its flowing silhouette echoes the beautiful landscape of Tonglu. 

In order to ensure the biosafety of Hangzhou Asian Games, Tonglu has set up the “Equine Disease Free Zone” in line with international standards, and carries out standardized monitoring and control over it. Coupled with reinforced disease monitoring and hazard elimination measures, the Centre aims at guaranteeing the success of the equestrian game during the Asian Games. 

By upgrading facilities and cityscape, Tonglu creates a space where people can the Asian Games. By leveraging the potential of the equestrian industry, Tonglu builds up the “tourism + equestrian” model,facilitating the coordinated development of eco economy and equestrian.
