The term “Silk Road” was coined by a German geographer named Ferdinand von Richthofen in the 19th century. It connects China with Asian continent, Europe and even Africa during ancient times. In this video, we explored an exhibition on the Qinghai Path or Qinghai Route on the Silk Roads during 6-8 centuries at China National Silk Museum, as part of our visiting of the 2022 Silk Road Week. We have briefly explored the history of the Tuyuhun Kingdom, a major tribe that dominated the Qinghai region at that time, and also have learned about how Tuyuhun people’s livings, culture and art look like.  In today’s interconnected world, we believe that mutual understanding and dialogues between different cultures can help us to learn more about each other and thus, we can build a more sustainable world based on diversity and respect.
