The precious marble sarcophagus dates back to the 6th century (Sui Dynasty in China) and boasts 54 scenes in relief featuring Central Asian motifs. It belongs to Yu Hong, a talented Sogdian speaking many languages and traveling across various countries; he first served the nomadic tribe Ruru and later become an official in the Chinese government through three dynasties.
