Independent Salumi Union, a company producing Italian-style air-dried ham and other meat products, originates from a family with over 160 years of tradition in making Italian smoked meat. Helmuth Senfter, the fifth generation of this family, has played a pivotal role in bringing this rich heritage to China.

Senfter arrived in China as early as 1995. He founded the brand Salumi in 2018 and relocated the company's headquarters to Majiabang Healthy Food Town in Jiaxing in 2019.

In his free time, Senfter enjoys driving around the city, and the well-developed infrastructure and exquisite green landscapes have left a profound impression on him. Italian restaurants and cafes make him feel at home.

When Senfter returns to Italy, he shares his stories in China and attracts more Italian enterprises to invest and establish businesses in Jiaxing.
