For Wenzhou people, there is one more reason why they like to eat fish is that because the word "fish" (in Chinese Pinyin: Yu) has homophony with the Chinese character "余" (also in Chinese Pinyin: Yu). Alex said that he was afraid of fish bones, so he didn't eat fish very much in Wenzhou.
