At 19:00 pm on August 19, Ms. Shi Chengquan, an inheritor of Ou Embroidery, one of Chinese national intangible cultural heritages, was invited to the "Meeting-Wuma" Livestreaming Studio for a live show with Brett, an South African anchor who is appointed as a city ambassador of Wenzhou City.

According to Ms. Shi Chengquan, she was born in an Ou Embroidery familyand and is the fourth-generation heiress of Shi's Ou Embroidery Craft. She is also the representative inheritor of Ou Embroidery, the Chinese National Intangible Heritage Project. During the show, Ms. Shi Chengquan displayed her double-sided Ou Embroidered works, including "The Mightiness of King", "The Leaping Fish," etc.

Ms. Shi said that "The Mightiness of King," which especially takes the lion as the theme, is the first and only"double-sided, different-color, different-pattern” embroidery work in the history of Ou Embroidery. It takes 3 years to design and complete, overcoming countless technical problems in Embroidery such as double-sided layout, different-color application, and different-pattern setting. It presents both a lion’s awe-inspiring power in static pose and its domineering momentum in dynamic move on a single canvas. Brett was impressed so much by these masterpieces created by Ms. Shi Chengquan.

Every week, there will be various cultural events to be held in the “Meeting-Wuma" Livestreaming Studio. If you are interested in joining our anchor team or joining us in the livestreaming events, please call 4008678110 to register.
