Hangzhou companies that have signed partnerships with the upcoming Asian Games are ready to contribute to the major sporting event, local media recently reported.
Wensli, a silk producer and one of the official suppliers for the Games, is among these companies.
According to Shen Xia, the deputy general marketing director of Wensli, the time-honored silk brand has nine retail stores dedicated to selling Asian Games-themed products. These stores have already raked in more than 5 million yuan ($786,000) in sales.
"We have developed over 30 silk products for the event," said Shen.
Shen added that Wensli has enjoyed a presence at many international and national events such as the Beijing Winter Olympics, the Shanghai World Expo and the G20 Hangzhou Summit.

China's beverage giant Wahaha, which is based in Hangzhou, plans to launch a special edition of soda water for the Games and will hold a series of promotional activities for esports enthusiasts.
Cheng Gong, the director of the public relations department of Wahaha, explained that esports enthusiasts are mostly young people, who also make up the target audience of Wahaha.
As Tonglu county in Hangzhou was chosen to host the equestrian events of the Games, the county is now aiming to play a leading role in developing the nation's equestrian scene.
According to Jiang Zhongchuan, the general manager of Jinheng Equestrian Club in Tonglu, China's equestrian industry is developing fast, with about 500 equestrian clubs registered every year.
The Hangzhou Asian Games has so far signed partnerships with 124 companies, including 10 official partners, four sponsors and 111 suppliers.
