Tungamirai Eric Mupona, from Zimbabwe, is a PhD student at Zhejiang University. During his years of studying in Zhejiang, he developed a keen curiosity about the rural development of Jinyun county, and he chose it as the research object for his master's thesis. "The dried vegetables here, especially the preserved vegetables, taste quite similar to those in my hometown," he said.

Mupona also encourages his friends to step out of the classroom and immerse themselves in Chinese society. "I want to guide more foreign friends to read the book of Chinese society," he said.
