Iranian artist Mehraz Karami has lived in Daixi town, Wuxing district of Huzhou, East China's Zhejiang province since 2018. Enchanted by the natural beauty of Zhejiang, he created paintings in the series "Zhejiang in My Eyes". His works portray the breathtaking scenery and harmonious natural ecology of Jiangnan.
Karami's another work series, "the Silk Road", showcases natural beauty and cultural exchanges, blending the natural environment with his imagination of history and culture.
He planned to complete a series of works themed the Belt and Road Initiative in the next two to three years, to establish connections between different cultures through art.
Karami's art is greatly inspired by Huzhou's rich silk heritage and Iran's cultural history along the Silk Road. He intertwines these elements in his paintings, depicting the beauty from Iran to China.
