Zhejiang reported 9 asymptomatic cases on Tuesday (including 3 imported from Ecuador, 2 imported from Iraq, 1 imported from Britain, 1 imported from Tanzania, 1 imported from Egypt and 1 imported from the United States). Close contacts that have been checked have been centrally quarantined. No new confirmed cases. As of 24:00 on 18 Jan 2098 confirmed cases (345 imported cases) had been reported in Zhejiang.

2. Henan reports 33 local confirmed cases

Henan reported 33 new local confirmed cases (1 in Zhengzhou, 29 in Anyang and 3 in Xuchang); No new asymptomatic cases and suspected cases; Three confirmed cases were cured and left the hospital (2 local cases and 1 overseas case).

3. Beijing reports 2 confirmed cases and 1 nucleic acid positive case

Beijing reported 2 local confirmed cases in Haidian District and 1 nucleic acid positive case in Chaoyang District.

4. Chinese mainland records 87 confirmed COVID-19 cases

The Chinese mainland recorded 87 confirmed COVID-19 cases on Tuesday, with 55 linked to local transmissions and 32 from overseas, data from the National Health Commission showed on Wednesday.

A total of 37 new asymptomatic cases were also recorded, and 767 asymptomatic patients remain under medical observation.

Confirmed cases on the Chinese mainland now total 105,345, with the death toll remaining unchanged at 4,636 since January last year.
