On the morning of April 26, at the press conference on preserving the Party’s "Red Roots", making Zhejiang "an Important Window of China", Mr. Yuan Jiajun, Secretary of Zhejiang Provincial Committee of the CPC proposed four keywords to introduce Zhejiang to the world.
The first one is "Red Roots". Zhejiang is the place where the Chinese Revolutionary Red Boat set sail. In 1921, the First National Congress of the Communist Party of China was concluded at the Red Boat in Nanhu Lake in Jiaxing, which passed the first program and resolution of CPC, and elected its first central organ, solemnly announcing the birth of the Party.
The second one is "An Important Window of China". During his visit to Zhejiang last year, General Secretary Xi Jinping proposed that Zhejiang "strive to become an important window for fully demonstrating the superiority of the socialist system with Chinese characteristics in the new era." That is to say, Zhejiang will strive to become a window of showcase and practice of socialist system with Chinese characteristics in the new era.
The third one is "Common Prosperity". According to China's recently published Outline of the 14th Five-Year Plan (2021-2025) for National Economic and Social Development and the Long-Range Objectives Through the Year 2035, the country will support Zhejiang province in building a demonstration zone for common prosperity through high-quality development.
The fourth one is "A pioneering province in China’s socialist modernization". CPC Zhejiang Provincial Committee has been systematically laying out the foundations of the “Prime Window” construction, defining the key objectives to make Zhejiang a pioneering province in China’s socialist modernization drive. The resolution indicates the modernization of ten aspects, including the pursue of digitalization, the reform of the industry system, technological innovation, countryside and agriculture, opening-up, regional governance, culture cultivation, public service, and people per se.
