On December 12, the main forum of the first Global Digital Trade Expo was held at Hangzhou International Expo Center. Nearly 380 people including representatives of international organizations, national ministries and commissions, embassies, relevant units at the provincial level in Zhejiang, as well as multinational companies, experts and scholars attended the forum at the site.
With the theme of "Focus on new development of digital trade, usher in new future of digital economy", the forum focused on the hot topics of global digital trade, and strived to build an international cooperation and exchange platform leading the development of global digital trade, and promote the reshaping of digital trade rules, value reshaping and advantage reshaping.
Major Projects Signing Ceremony
The Digital Economy and Digital Trade Major Projects Signing Ceremony were held at the main forum. 24 projects were signed with a total investment value exceeding 49.3 billion yuan. These projects are to be built in Zhejiang Province’s key industries, such as new energy, new materials and medical sciences. Agreements for strategic cooperation and cross-border e-commerce were also signed with the aim to boost digital R&D, marketing, logistics and investment of various industries in the province, which will enable the upgrade of many traditional industries with digitization.
Exciting Industry Releases
During the forum, the Ministry of Commerce released the "China Digital Trade Development Report 2021"; Hangzhou International Digital Trade Center was officially unveiled to boost China's digital economic development; Alibaba Group premiered the digital trade achievement of eWTP and Cambodia cooperation; Zhejiang Provincial Market Supervision And Administration Bureau released the "Global QR Code Migration Plan"; Forbes China released the "Top 100 Global Digital Trade Industry Companies of 2022"; Sadie Consulting released the list of "Top 100 Digital Trade Companies of 2022", and Zhejiang Business Research Institute released the "Blue Book on 2022 International Economic and Trade Rules and Zhejiang Openness".
