After three years of construction, the reconstruction project the Shanghai-Hangzhou-Ningbo Expressway (Hangzhou urban section), namely the Konggang Elevated Expressway (Desheng Interchange to Xiaoshan Station) and Konggang Avenue (Hangzhou Station to Tonghui North Road) will be opened at 10 am on September 28. The new Xiaoshan toll station and Liuxia interchange reconstruction project will also be opened at the same time.

As a key transportation project for the Asian Games, Konggang Elevated  Expressway, Konggang Avenue and Metro Line 19 (Airport Express) connect the three major transportation hubs of Hangzhoudong Railway Station, Hangzhouxi Railway Station and Xiaoshan International Airport.

The new Pengbu Bridge with a main bridge length of 1350.8 meters is the key project of this project. This is a double-deck bridge, the upper layer is a two-way eight-lane expressway with a design speed of 80 kilometers per hour, and the lower layer is two-lane rail traffic, pedestrians and non-motorized vehicles. The main bridge is 1350.8 meters long.

The opening of this road is of great significance to enhance the convenience and connectivity of Hangzhou's metropolitan transportation.
