"A New Chapter in Culture and Tourism of Charming Jiangsu" culture and tourism promotion event was held in Hangzhou, Zhejiang province, on Oct 28.


The event featured multiple themed sections, including "water charm of Jiangsu""digital Jiangsu""opera in Jiangsu",  showcasing Jiangsu's cultural charm through diverse forms. 


Amanda, a student from Brazil, was amazed by Jiangsu's velvet flower craftsmanship. 

"It was the first time for me to have such a close contact and understanding of China's intangible cultural heritage," she said, adding that  the colors and texture of the velvet flowers fascinated her. 


Jiangsu, a prosperous region in China's Yangtze River Delta, boasts 13 national historic and cultural cities, as well as world cultural heritage sites such as the Suzhou Classical Gardens, Ming Xiaoling Mausoleum, and the Jiangsu section of the Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal, along with the world natural heritage site of the Migratory Bird Sanctuaries along the Coast of Yellow Sea-Bohai Gulf of China.
