Situated in the west of Zhejiang Province, lying in the upper reaches of Qiantang River, Quzhou is a well-known cultural city with a history of more than 1,800 years. It is affectionately called by people as a "miniature version of Tibet" for the "Little Potala Palace of Jiangnan Region". 

Possessing beautiful highways, world natural heritages, sea of flowers comparable to that in Hokkaido of Japan, and an ancient underground architecture in large scale, the city is ready to amaze tourist with its fascinating scenery. Setting off from Shanghai, you can arrive at the city famous for its "forests" after only 2 hours of driving.

With over 150 scenic spots, Quzhou is honored with the title “City of Magical Mountains and Waters”. The ancient Quzhou city walls stands high, Nianbadu Ancient Town shows colorful folk arts, Longyou Residential Estates gathers traditional buildings of unique style, the Jianglang Mountain boasts the “NO.1 Peak of Danxia Landform”, Longyou Grottoes display nature's wonders, and Qianjiangyuan National Forest Park greets guests with its natural air anion bar...

In addition, it also has countless delicious foods for the enjoyment of gormandizers, such as Quzhou Hot Cake, dried rice noodles, Longyou steamed sponge cake, Q-bouncy meatball, spicy, and delicious and fragrant three heads and one foot (rabbit head, duck head, fish head and duck foot).

To protect the ecology, Quzhou hasn't opened any scenic spot freely to the public. BUT! From May this year, a number of tourists attractions it will be free on every occasion of Monday (except national legal holidays) and in the whole month of December!
