Located in the eastern part of Zhejiang Province, Shengzhou is an essential transport hub linking neighboring cities of Hangzhou, Ningbo, Wenzhou and Jinhua. Apart from its long history, rich culture and picturesque tourist sites, Shengzhou is also notable for Yue opera which was originated in the place in 1906. Today Shengzhou has turned into one of the key sites of eastern Zhejiang’s golden touring route.
