Spring is the best season for outdoor activities. It is most suitable for staying away from the hustle and bustle of cities, being at one with nature in mountains and fields. Why not enjoy the scenery of Qiandao Lake (Chinese: 千岛湖, or Thousand Islets Lake)  by boat or bicycle? You can go cycling along the lake and enjoy the beauty of spring.

Qiandao Lake has developed a series of well-constructed cycling routes. There are viewpoints along the way, serving visitors with bicycle rental, first-aid, camping, barbecue, etc. Some cycling routes for sightseeing are as follows.

1. Qianfen Line Greenway

Itinerary: Qiandao Lake Bridge - Jieshou Town - Jiangjia Town - Jieshou Town - Qiandao Lake Bridge

Scenic spots along the way: Hongye Bay, Xiaojinshan camp, Meifeng photography site, Meifeng scenic spot, Jieshou citrus sightseeing base, underwater ancient city ruins, Longchuan Bay, Qinchuan ancient village.

Suitable for both professionals and amateurs.

Highlights

It is the most beautiful highway in Zhejiang Province with a length of over 70 kilometers, physically strenuous with moderate slopes. Along the way you can see rapeseed flowers and azaleas, pass through farms and orchards where you can enjoy the fun of picking. 

2. Chunyang Line Greenway

Itinerary: Slow Life Square - Shangjiangbu Bridge - Qiandao Lake Grand Canyon - Xia Jiang Village - Fenkou Town

Scenic spots along the way: Maple Ridge Town, Xia Jiang Village, Grape Picking Farm, Qiandao Lake Grand Canyon, Hoodoos scenic area, Shangjiangbu Bridge

Suitable for both professional and amateur

Highlights

The scenery along the road is comparable to Qianfen Line Greenway.  It is a flat route with a full length of 52 kilometers, passing crisscross harbors. Seventy percent of the route is along the lake, blessed with panoramic nature view. 

3. The Greenway Around Lake in City

Itinerary: Binhu Road - Huanhu Road N. - Pearl Peninsula - Xiushui Avenue - Two Tunnels and Two Bridges - Huanhu Road S. - Binhu Road

Scenic spots along the way: Fishing Island, Southeast Lake Tourism Terminal, two tunnels and two bridges.

Suitable for leisure, vacation, practice and all ages

Highlights

The length of the route is about 15 kilometers, with flat road surface and small slopes. The route is along the lake and blessed with beautiful lake and rural scenery. You can experience night cycling and enjoy magnificent night views. 

4. Urban Landscape Ribbon Greenway

Itinerary: Qiandao Lake Passenger Terminal - Qiandao Lake Bridge

Scenic spots along the route: Central Lake Area Ribbon, Riverside Park, Lakeside Park, Xiushui Square.

Suitable for leisure, vacation, practice and all ages

Highlights

It is a short route with a total length of 10 kilometers, connecting to Qianfen route at Qiandao Lake Bridge. You can appreciate the city views while cycling.
