The Wuzhen Summit launched the "Jiaxing is Interesting" international media campaign with a city walk on Nov 9. This initiative helped international influencers and students explore and fall in love with Jiaxing.

The journey began at the renovated 1921 Railway Station, a historic building that transports visitors back in time. The international visitors explored the old railway station, Xuangong Road, Xuangong Bridge, and ended their tour at the picturesque Shizihui Dock with its Red Boat and the South Lake Revolution Memorial Hall.

Ksana, a student from Russia, was deeply moved by the red culture and the cultural heritage. Dr Tiwari from India, who works at a company in Tongxiang, a county-level city of Jiaxing, shared similar sentiments and decided to settle down in Jiaxing with his family due to its rich historical foundation and cultural preservation.

The city's clean streets and easy living impress both locals and foreign visitors alike.

"Living here for eight years, Jiaxing feels like home," said Osama from Pakistan. "My wife, a Chinese native, and I have built our family and careers here. Compared to Beijing or Shanghai, we love Jiaxing's warmth and cultural richness."

After a day of exploration, Vietnamese student Li Muke posted a video on TikTok, inviting more foreigners to discover Jiaxing. "Jiaxing has rich cultural history and beautiful landscapes. It's a hidden gem," he said. With a love of Chinese, Li began to learn Chinese by himself two years ago, and came to Jiaxing this year to become an international student at Jiaxing University.
