The Third China-ASEAN Conference on Sustainable Development Cooperation was held on May 11 in Nanxun district, Huzhou, East China's Zhejiang province.


The conference seeks to enhance cultural exchange, industrial cooperation, and shared benefits, thereby creating new opportunities and momentum for deepening regional cooperation.


Some of Huzhou's municipal government leaders, officials from ASEAN embassies and consulates in China, representatives of ASEAN business associations and enterprises, and domestic experts and scholars attended the conference.


Shi Zhongjun, secretary-general of the China-ASEAN Center, highlighted the increasing frequency and success of economic and trade exchanges between Huzhou and ASEAN countries in recent years.


Shi emphasized that Huzhou, as a global model for ecological civilization and a leader in green and low-carbon innovation, offers vast potential for cooperation in green and sustainable development.


Lian Kunming, Party deputy secretary and mayor of Huzhou, said that the sustainable development cooperation between Huzhou and ASEAN countries has entered its third year, presenting numerous opportunities for growth. He affirmed Huzhou's commitment to strengthening ties with ASEAN counterparts to support fruitful collaborations.


Additionally, the event featured the launch of the "Huzhou-Singapore Sci-Tech Innovation, Industry, and Education Alliance", marking a significant step forward in regional cooperation.
