The exhibition A Journey of Knowledge: ‘The Travels of Marco Polo’ and its Legacy between East and West  opened at the China Academy of Art in Hangzhou, on May 8.


This exhibition is one of the main events commemorating the 700th anniversary of the passing Marco Polo. As the third stop of the series, it is being held in Hangzhou in 2025, marking the 55th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Italy.


The exhibition features 84 precious artifacts from the 13th to the 20th century, contributed by 11 Italian museums and cultural institutions. The works span a wide range of categories, including oil paintings, sculptures, ceramics, glassware, jewelry, and textiles.
