The 7th Xisai Mountain Cross-Country Race kicked off at the Xisaishan Holiday Resort in Wuxing district, Huzhou, Zhejiang province, on Dec 15.


Drawing nearly 500 participants from Zhejiang, Jiangsu, Shanghai, and other regions, the event was divided into three categories: a 30-kilometer individual race, a 30-km team race, and a 15-km individual race.


The designed course traversed landmarks like the Luyu Ancient Road, Huixin Valley, Xiamu Mountain Reservoir, and Bailu Valley. With diverse terrain, including slopes, rivers, ancient paths, and mountain trails, the race provided a unique experience of the resort's natural beauty and cultural richness.


In recent years, the resort has been focusing on the development of sports, leveraging its ecological and cultural assets for integrated growth. The annual Xisai Mountain Cross-Country Race has evolved into a local hallmark event over its seven-year tenure.
