The unveiling ceremony of the International Communication Specialist Committee of Zhejiang Journalists Association was held in Hangzhou on Dec 11, marking an important step to support local media's international communication efforts. Over 40 representatives from the international communication industry and academia attended the ceremony.

As a specialized working body under Zhejiang Journalists Association, the committee aims to promote local media's international communication work by fostering collaboration in content creation, channel expansion, event organization and talent cultivation.

In recent years, events such as the G20 Hangzhou Summit, Hangzhou Asian Games, Liangzhu Forum, World Internet Conference Wuzhen Summit, and the Global Forum on Hehe Culture have drawn increasing global attention to Zhejiang.

To better tell the stories of Zhejiang to the world, international communication centers have been established at provincial, municipal, and county levels this year. Looking ahead, the committee will continue to enhance industry guidance and services while integrating diversified communication channels and strengthening talent cultivation —thus opening a window for the world to understand Zhejiang and know China.

During the ceremony, the constitution of the committee was approved along with its membership list. The committee comprises 24 members from international communication institutions, journalism faculties of universities and journalism research institutes in Zhejiang province. A permanent secretariat has been established at the Zhejiang International Communication Center to oversee daily operations.
