The 2024 China-Africa Economic and Trade Forum kicked off in Hangzhou on Nov 16, bringing together over 300 participants, including experts, diplomats, and business leaders, to explore new avenues of Zhejiang-Africa cooperation.
Organized by Zhejiang Gongshang University and several trade associations, the forum emphasized innovation and partnership.
Key speakers underscored Zhejiang’s active role in fostering bilateral ties with Africa. They highlighted the province's achievements as China's top region for Africa-focused trade, with a commitment to advancing industrial cooperation and cultural exchange.
The event also featured discussions on vocational education’s role in supporting African industries, Chinese brands entering African markets, and sustainable development strategies. Two parallel forums delved into automotive trade and agricultural cooperation.
The forum reflects Zhejiang’s proactive approach to deepening ties with Africa, building on its status as a key player in China-Africa relations.
