The 2024 ICF Hangzhou Super Cup will kick off at the Fuyang Water Sports Center on Oct 11, gathering international canoers and kayakers to compete in four major events - flatwater sprint, marathon, canoe polo, and slalom.

This global competition, the first to combine all four disciplines in one event, has attracted over 530 top athletes from 36 countries and regions.

The Fuyang venue, which hosted a number of events during the Hangzhou Asian Games in 2023, was selected for its world-class facilities and beautiful surroundings. Thirteen Olympic champions, including Paris 2024 gold medalists, will take part, further enhancing the event's prestige.

As Hangzhou positions itself as a hub for international sports, more major events, such as the 2024 Hangzhou Golf Open and World Drone Racing Championships, are slated to be held in the city, boosting its global profile.
