The 3rd Global Digital Trade Expo opened in Hangzhou on Sept 25, featuring over 1,500 companies from 32 countries and regions.
This year's expo includes a new low-altitude economy section, showcasing nearly 200 technological products from over 80 companies, including eight from Jiaxing.
Zhejiang Jiaxing PLN Aviation Technology Co Ltd presented its ZG-ONE electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) aircraft, which can carry two passengers and features a 270-degree panoramic glass and a quick battery swap system.
Micromulticopter Aviation, a pioneer in the drone industry, showcased its Yunxiangfei platform, a one-stop service for integrating industry services, pilot bookings, skill training, export products, and equipment rentals.
Fusionx Digital Technology Co Ltd from Nanhu district introduced its airborne brain for drones, enabling image transmission, remote control, and edge computing once installed. This innovation makes ordinary drones smarter and more efficient.
The strong presence of Jiaxing companies highlights the rapid growth of the city's low-altitude economy. Jiaxing recently released its Implementation Plan for the High-Quality Development of the Low-Altitude Economy (2024-27), aiming to build infrastructure, establish flight routes, form service networks, and develop industry clusters and application scenarios.
The expo also featured a major project signing ceremony, with agreements for 36 projects signed, including 28 domestic and eight foreign investment projects, totaling over 102.48 billion yuan ($14.6 billion). Jiaxing signed agreements for two high-end foreign digital economy projects worth $800 million, underscoring its leadership in the low-altitude economy. By 2027, the city aims to exceed 450,000 hours of low-altitude flight annually.
