A major milestone has been achieved by the China Vision Valley as construction recently commenced on Zhejiang's first 3D vision industrial park. Located within the valley's future industrial community, the park is a key part of the region's strategic vision.

With a total investment of 2 billion yuan ($283 million), the park will cover an area of 4.6 hectares, strategically neighboring the China Vision Valley Innovation Center and research and technology institutions like the Hangzhou Jubo National Glass Research Institute and Tsinghua Future Technology (Hangzhou) Co.

3D technology, particularly additive manufacturing, offers advantages such as low material loss, customization, and suitability for precision and lightweight manufacturing. It aligns with China's push to develop advanced production capabilities and will play an increasingly vital role in the fields of advanced manufacturing and visual technology.

The 3D printing industry's supply chain ranges from upstream materials, hardware, and software – covering metals, lasers, and scanners – to midstream 3D printing equipment and systems, and downstream applications in industries like aerospace, medicine, automotive, transportation, and architecture.

The new park will leverage the expertise of industry leaders such as Shining 3D Technology and Hangzhou E-Plus 3D, attracting top global 3D printing technology resources. The park aims to establish a complete industrial chain encompassing the R&D, production, and application of core 3D components, software, equipment, and services.
