The 20th Asian Karate Championship and the 3rd Asian Para-Karate Championship kicked off at the Linping Sports Center Stadium in Hangzhou on Sept 20. This event brings together top karate athletes across Asia, serving as a vital platform for showcasing the spirit of karate.

9月20日，第20届亚洲空手道锦标赛暨第3届亚洲残疾人空手道锦标赛在临平体育中心拉开帷幕。本次大赛汇聚了来自亚洲各国的顶尖选手，是展示空手道体育精神和促进亚洲文化交流的重要平台。

The championship has attracted over 700 participants from more than 30 countries and regions, including Japan, India and Thailand. The Asian Karate Championships feature 17 events, while the Asian Para-Karate Championships include eight events, with a total of 25 gold medals to be awarded.

作为由亚洲空手道联合会主办一年一度的亚洲最高级别空手道盛会，本次赛事自9月20日起至9月22日，为期三天，吸引了来自日本、印度、泰国等30多个国家及地区的700余人参加。其中，亚洲空手道锦标赛共设17个小项，亚洲残疾人空手道比赛共设8个小项。共计产生金牌25枚。

The Linping Sports Center Stadium is also hosting a sports carnival during the event. The carnival features a wide range of activities, including karate exhibitions, a sports marketplace, interactive ball games, cultural performances and intangible cultural heritage illustration. 

为推动临平打造“世界空手道赛事名城”的步伐，赛事期间，临平体育中心还特别推出了“活力临平”体育嘉年华活动。活动现场不仅设有空手道运动宣传展、运动市集、球类互动体验、文艺表演、非遗展示等精彩内容。
