"Experiencing the workplace for real, this will be my most unforgettable internship!" said Loane Manon Foltyn, a sophomore from Emlyon Business School in France. Recently, she received her foreigner work and residence permits and quickly adapted to her role in the sales department at Haining Nis Neyret Ribbon Co Ltd.

Hers is the first cross-border internship work permit to be issued to a French student in Haining under the China-France Thousand Interns Program and also the first in Jiaxing.

Previously, it took nearly 30 working days for foreigners to obtain work and residence permits in China. However, as part of recent reforms, Haining has integrated the services of its science and technology bureau and the public security bureau's immigration department into the Service Center of Haining Talents, bringing one-stop services to the application and issuance of work and residence permits.

Haining Nis Neyret Ribbon Co Ltd, a multinational company, is in urgent need of foreign talents with international perspectives. In July, Foltyn, recommended by the company's French headquarters, became the first foreign intern to join the company. With the new streamlined process and cross-departmental collaboration, Foltyn received her work and residence permits in just 15 days.

Now, foreigners applying for work and residence permits in Haining only need to visit one window, with approval time reduced to as fast as five working days. The Service Center of Haining Talents, which offers services related to foreign work applications and management, has processed nearly 3,200 foreign-related business transactions to date.
