The 2024 Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC) is being held from Sept 4 to 6. On the theme of "Joining Hands to Advance Modernization and Build a High-Level China-Africa Community with a Shared Future," Chinese and African leaders gather in Beijing to discuss future development and cooperation and exchange governance experience.


作为中非合作论坛下的重要分论坛之一，中非智库论坛自2011年创立以来已举办十三届会议，形成了一系列有影响力的学术成果、理论成果，在促进民间交流、对话、分享见解、促进合作等方面发挥着积极作用，被国内外主流媒体誉为“国际社会认知中非关系、理解中国对非战略结构与性质的重要平台”。


As one of the key sub-forums under the FOCAC, the China and Africa Think Tanks Forum (CATTF) has held 13 sessions since 2011. It provides a platform for scholars, policymakers, academics, journalists and experts from China and Africa to discuss key issues, exchange ideas, and explore avenues for cooperation.


作为中非智库论坛的发起者、组织者和见证者之一，浙江省国际传播特聘专家、浙江师范大学非洲研究院院长刘鸿武表示，中非智库论坛作为中非合作的重要思想库和智库平台，为中非合作提供了重要的思想支持和智慧贡献。中非智库论坛汇聚了来自非洲50多个国家的智库领袖和专家学者，每年轮流在中国和非洲国家举办，围绕中非双方的核心话题进行深入交流和讨论。


As a joint promoter and organizer of the CATTF, Liu Hongwu, dean of the Institute of African Research at Zhejiang Normal University and expert on international communication in Zhejiang, said that CATTF provides significant ideological support and intellectual contributions to China-Africa cooperation. It brings together experts and scholars from over 50 African countries to engage in profound exchanges and discussions on core topics of mutual interest.


2024年3月，中非智库论坛第十三届会议在坦桑尼亚达累斯萨拉姆举行，中非学者联合发表《中非智库关于深化全球发展合作的共识》（“中非达累斯萨拉姆共识”），呼吁国际社会本着相互尊重、团结合作、开放共赢、共同繁荣原则，深化发展合作，推动各国携手走向现代化，共筑人类命运共同体。


In March 2024, the 13th Session of the CATTF was held in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. At the forum, Chinese and African scholars jointly issued the Consensus Among African and Chinese Think Tanks on Deepening Global Development Cooperation, also known as the Africa-China Dar es Salaam Consensus, calling upon the international community to deepen cooperation and promote the joint pursuit of modernization among all countries, adhering to the principles of mutual respect, openness and mutual benefit, as well as common prosperity, to jointly build a community with a shared future for mankind.


未来，随着中非合作的不断深化和拓展，中非智库论坛将继续发挥重要作用，为推动中非关系迈向更高水平贡献力量。


In the future, the China-Africa Think Tanks Forum will continue to play a vital role in the development of China-Africa relations.
