Zhoushan is rapidly advancing 17 major county development projects, focusing on infrastructure, industrial platforms, and public services, local media outlets reported.

As of late July, these projects had collectively completed 2.64 billion yuan ($367.6 million) in investment, reaching 96.7 percent of the annual target – 38 percentage points ahead of schedule. Several key projects have already surpassed their yearly goals by five months.

At the Shuangfeng New City Sports Center in Daishan county, construction is progressing swiftly, with workers busy with waterproofing, welding, and wall installations. Spanning 54,000 square meters, this center will become a hub of sports and leisure.

Nearby, the Daishan Grain Reserve Facility is also under rapid construction, with steel structures rising as workers push to complete the project ahead of the planned May 2025 finish.
