Wu Changshuo Art Heritage Exhibition opens in Hangzhou

On the 180th anniversary of Wu Changshuo's birth, the opening ceremony of Wu Changshuo Art Heritage Exhibition was held at the Zhejiang Art Museum, Hangzhou, East China's Zhejiang province, on Aug 9. The exhibition displays 180 representative works of Wu, his disciples and thirty artists influenced by him. The exhibition will last until Sept 8.


Wu Changshuo was a famous Chinese painter, calligrapher and seal artist of the late Qing Dynasty(1644-1911) and early Republican period (1912-1949), and the first president of the Xiling Seal Engravers Society in Hangzhou. He has a profound influence on Chinese art.
