Students from Zhejiang Foreign Studies University have recently brought traditional Chinese martial arts to life by Hangzhou's West Lake, enchanting international visitors and fostering global friendships.

The "Legendary weapons of Wuchang" team showcased a centuries-old martial arts form, now recognized as a national intangible cultural heritage.

At a lakeside stage, they demonstrated ancient weaponry and intricate moves, inviting foreign guests to experience the art firsthand. The event was a hit, with a German professor praising the unique traditional patterns on the equipment and expressing a desire to learn more.

Team members, inspired by their interaction with the inheritor of the martial arts, Hong Mingbao, are committed to spreading its spirit. Cui Wenjuan, a Tai Chi champion and university teacher, leads the initiative to create bilingual videos and brochures, aiming to share the story of "Legendary weapons of Wuchang" with a youthful perspective and contribute to Chinese cultural heritage on the global stage.

The event encapsulates the university's mission to use martial arts as a bridge for cultural exchange, demonstrating the profound impact of Chinese traditions and the youth's role in preserving and promoting them worldwide.
