A delegation from Kazakhstan's national railway company visited Jinhua, Zhejiang province from June 11 to 12.
The delegation, led by Sauranbayev, chairman of the board of the railway company, was warmly welcomed by Zhu Chonglie, Party secretary of Jinhua, and Zhang Jian, the mayor of Jinhua.
During the visit, both sides engaged in in-depth discussions focused on promoting the high-quality development of cross-border railway transportation and strengthening economic and trade exchanges.
Zhu outlined Jinhua's economic and social development, highlighting the steady progress made in collaboration within the framework of the Belt and Road Initiative.
Zhu expressed his hope that the visit would serve as a new starting point for extensive cooperation, emphasizing the importance of establishing a regular communication and exchange mechanism and expanding major transportation channels.
Zhu also underscored the potential for promoting extensive exchanges by deepening cooperation in culture, tourism, and education, allowing more Kazakhstani youth to understand Jinhua and China.
Sauranbayev expressed his gratitude for the warm reception and noted Jinhua's significant locational advantages, favorable development environment, robust industrial foundation, and vast market potential.
Sauranbayev showed optimism about further strengthening cross-border railway transportation cooperation, increasing the number of China-Europe Railway Express services, expanding their reach, and elevating the level of cooperation.
In a significant step forward, the Jinhua Transportation Investment Group and Kazakhstan's national railway company signed a memorandum of understanding.
During their stay in Jinhua, the delegation visited several key sites, including the East China International Intermodal Port, the Jinyi Comprehensive Bonded Zone, Leapmotor, and the Yiwu International Trade Market.
