On the evening of October 4, ROK faced Uzbekistan in the semi-final of the Asian Games men's football. More than 38,000 people watched the match at Huanglong Sports Centre. Although there was no Chinese team playing, the Hangzhou fans were enthusiastic.
ROK started the match on the offensive and scored in just four minutes. Although Uzbekistan equalised with a free kick, ROK took the lead again after a slight adjustment. In the end, ROK kept the 2:1 score until the final whistle.
On October 7, ROK will compete with Japan for the men's football championship of the Asian Games. Hong Kong, China will compete with Uzbekistan for the third place.
