On June 15, the Inauguration Ceremony of World Internet Conference Zhejiang Office was unveiled in Wuzhen, Tongxiang, Jiaxing City. Ren Xianliang, Secretary General of the World Internet Conference and Lu Shan, vice governor of Zhejiang Provincial People's Government jointly unveiled the plaque of the Zhejiang Office. Government officials of Zhejiang Province and Tongxiang City, representatives of members of World Internet Conference and representatives of the press joined the ceremony.

Ren Xianliang announced the establishment of the Zhejiang Office. In his keynote speech, he said that this is the first representative body formally established by the international organization of the World Internet Conference, marking the further flowering of the construction and development of the Conference and the continuous deepening and solid progress. On behalf of the international organizations of the Conference, he expressed sincere thanks to the Zhejiang Provincial government, as well as Jiaxing City, Tongxiang City and other departments at all levels, for their strong support and significant contributions, and hoped that the Zhejiang Office would accelerate its construction in the future and promote the overall development of the international organization; do a good job as a bridge to serve the local and industrial high-quality development; enhance the supporting capacity and refine the 10-year preparatory work for the Wuzhen Summit.

Lu Shan said in his speech that establishing the Zhejiang Office of the World Internet Conference is not only an important achievement of the "Ten Anniversary of the Opening of the World Internet Conference", but also will inject new impetus and open a new chapter for high-level preparations for the Wuzhen Summit. Under the guidance of the international organizations of the Conference, the provincial government will fully support the Zhejiang Office to play a greater role in the high-level preparation for the Wuzhen Summit, demonstrate a stronger responsibility in the high-level construction of "digital Zhejiang", and show greater achievements in the high-level structure of first-class international organization representative offices.

The meeting was hosted by Liang Hao, Executive Deputy Secretary-General of the World Internet Conference. Zhang Caifang, Director of Zhejiang Provincial Cyberspace Administration and Director of the Zhejiang Office of the World Internet Conference spoke on behalf of all the staff of the office. He said that the Zhejiang office will continue to deepen the understanding of the significance of running the Wuzhen Summit well, show a stronger sense of responsibility, and ensure the detailed implementation of the tasks of the Summit in the decade with a broader vision.

After the inauguration ceremony, the guests visited the "The Light of Wuzhen" supercomputing centre and the "Straight through Wuzhen" industrial park to explore the local characteristics of the digital industry and future development trends.
