Trail Donghai- 2023 Putuo Cross-country Race fired a gun and started running on April 8, in Zhoushan. More than 1,000 cross-country runners started their cross-country trip against the sea breeze to enjoy the fun of the sport brought by nature.

There are two groups of participants in this race: the ODH group and the VDH group. The whole race course makes full use of the hiking and fitness trail resources. Among them, the ODH group passed through Southern Zhongshan, Wengjia 'ao, Xiaohui Ling, the most beautiful road and other nodes, climbing a total of about 3,000 meters, the VDH group passed through Southern Zhongshan, the ancient Reception Temple, and other nodes, climbing a total of about 1,000 meters, allowing players to run at the same time to feel the unique island style of Putuo.

The competition has attracted many elite players from inside and outside the province to participate, and nearly 90% of the more than 1,000 contestants come from outside the city. "We are a team of seven people who drove from Liaoning Province in northeast China to compete. We are very excited about this event. I think it is great that we can enjoy both the competition experience and the local tourist attractions." Suo, 60, has been running since his 50s and has participated in marathons and cross-country races, but this is his first time running on an island. "The track is very challenging and perfect for cross-country racing. Some of these tracks are hard going uphill, but when you run up and see such beautiful scenery, you can feel happy and relaxed. I'll do it again sometime!"

Wang Shenshen from Ningbo was the first to win the men's 20km group after a fierce competition with a time of 1 hour 35 minutes 54 seconds. Chen Erfen from Ningbo won the women's 20km category in 2 hours and 2 minutes. In the 40km race, Qin Guidu from Guangxi won the men's race with a time of 4 hours, 6 minutes, and 6 seconds, while Wu Yuanyuan from Wuhan won the women's race with a time of 5 hours, 24 minutes, and 36 seconds.

A series of exclusive benefits such as scenic spots, catering, accommodation, theater, and cultural innovation are provided for contestants in this event, allowing them to enjoy the fun of "eating, drinking, and having fun" in Putuo while crossing the mountains and seas.

The event was hosted by Putuo District Government and undertaken by the District Culture, Guangzhou, Tourism and Sports Bureau. "We have been preparing for this event for two years, and in addition to continuously enhancing the experience, we have made the security of the event extremely important. We conducted countless route explorations, constantly optimized the route, combined two professional rescue teams for rescue support, and opened the 120 green Channel to escort the race."
