Turkish people living in China are donating money and emergency goods to those affected by Monday's deadly earthquake.
When watching the videos of the massive earthquakes in his country, businessman Ozcan Sezer could not help but feel heartbroken. Most of his family and friends are safe, but he worried about those buried under the buildings, especially kids.
Ozcan runs a Turkish Restaurant in the Yiwu City of Zhejiang Province. He is busy organizing with other Turkish businessmen in China to send home help.
OZCAN SEZER, Turkish Businessman in Yiwu "The winter conditions make the rescue so hard, it makes everything so hard, people need food, people need clothes, I tried to organize donation and organize to send."
Ozcan says there are around 200 Turkish businessmen living in the eastern region of China. They are keeping in touch with each other and exchanging information about the situation.
OZCAN SEZER, Turkish Businessman in Yiwu "These are the goods we are collecting, hand warmers, other things are medical equipment and warm beds, about 100 generators now and we collected about heated machine to break the wall about 200 pieces."

Many Turkish businessmen in China are busy collecting these emergency goods in warehouses in Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou. They say these supplies will be transported to Turkiye next Monday."
Yiwu city is also known as the world capital of small commodities. Turkish people like Bilai have been living here for over 10 years. He says it is lucky that they can find most of the emergency supplies here quickly, and he thanks everyone who has been helping the Turkish people.
BILAI AKYUREKLI, Turkish Businessman in Yiwu "We want to help each other. Also Chinese friends, so much helping, we want to thank them, so many Chinese factories, so many Chinese friends, everyone, what can do it, they did already."
It may take months or even years for those in Türkiye to rebuild their homes and recover from the massive earthquakes. These Turkish businessmen say they will continue to offer help from afar.
