Yuhang, with a history of more than 1,200 years of tea cultivation, is one of the main tea producing areas in Zhejiang Province and the "source of the Japanese tea ceremony". In recent years, the relevant departments of Yuhang District have focused on the protection and inheritance of Jingshan tea culture, relying on the "Jingshan Tea Banquet", one of the national intangible cultural heritage list projects, to successfully apply for the Hometown of Chinese Folk Culture and Art (2021-2023).

In the thousand years of development, tea has evolved from the needs of food and drink to tea ceremony. This reflects the combination of Buddha worship and interpersonal communication, the way of drinking tea and the way of practice, which is internalized into the way of Zen tea.

In recent years, Yuhang District has paid attention to the theme of Zen tea, and integrated Zen tea elements in the construction of beautiful towns in Jingshan Town, the development of tourism, cultural creativity, and the construction of activity platforms. Combined with resources such as Jingshan Temple and the tea industry, it has gradually formed the characteristics of a healthy, leisurely and elegant town.
